Salvation

ONE WAY TO HEAVEN

It may surprise you, but there is only one way that guarantees you will get to heaven. That’s right, only one way.

Jesus said in John 14:6,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus Christ is the only one who can save your soul and take you to heaven.

What Must You Know To Be Saved?

We must know the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Romans 1:16 says,

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.”

The most important thing you will ever hear and learn is the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. It is the message that explains how you must be saved.

What Is The Gospel Message About?

The Gospel message is about what God does to make salvation possible. It is God’s message of what He does to make your journey to to heaven possible. Therefore, the Gospel message begins with God.

God's Standard Is Perfection

God is righteous, perfect, and sinless. Therefore, there is no sin in heaven.

Not even the smallest of all sins is allowed into heaven. Heaven is perfect in every way. Anything less than perfection would pollute heaven.

Of course, God’s requirement of perfection to enter heaven means none of us could go to heaven.

The Imperfection Of Humanity

The Bible declares in Romans 3:10,

“There is none righteous, no, not one.”

Likewise, Romans 3:23 says,

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

And Isaiah 64:6 states,

“… all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags….”

In other words, no matter how many good works you have done, all your efforts to be good enough to enter heaven have been in vain.

Questions like “Am I good enough?” or “Am I too sinful?” are irrelevant. You can never be good enough or sincere enough to be saved.

The Problem Of What You Are

Ultimately, the problem is what you are, not what you do. Regardless of what you do, you can never change what you are. Being human means, you were born with a sin nature. That is the problem that must be remedied.

At the root of our sin problem is the nature of sin. We inherit our nature from our parents and ultimately from Adam and Eve. When we commit one sin, we are guilty of violating the whole law. James 2:10 says,

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

One sin is outward evidence that your inner being or nature is sinful. You can’t clean your nature to make it unsinful. You can’t be good enough to change your sinful nature. It is what you are. The only thing that can possibly change the inner core of your being, your nature, is a miracle. You have to be born all over again.

God’s Miraculous Solution

It is beyond your power and ability to change your inner being, and therefore it is impossible to save yourself or to gain a beneficial reward from God.

Only God can do miracles. This is why God must save you. This is why Jesus must be your Savior. This is why salvation must be offered as a gift of grace and mercy from God.

The Bible describes salvation in Ephesians 2:8-9, saying,

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

In other words, no amount of good works and sincere efforts on your part can save you. Salvation must come by the grace of God without the inclusion of your imperfect works.
Romans 3:28 declares,

“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”

God’s Solution Is For You Too

The miraculous work of God that qualifies you to go to heaven is for anyone and everyone who believes the Gospel message that Jesus Christ is Lord God and Savior.

Jesus’ invitation is for you. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28,

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Jesus alone is qualified to give rest and peace to the guilty soul because He is the only one who died for you. He will save you when you believe His message without attempting to taint His work with your own.

God does not want arrogance and vanity in your attempts to please Him. He wants simple, humble dependence on Him; acknowledging that you desperately need Him. This is God’s way. Any other way is the wrong way.

Do you believe God’s way is the right way?

Jesus said in John 3:16,

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This is how you get to heaven.

Will you be there?
